Shallow Foundations and Layout of Communication Tower Structures
When the surface soil at the communication tower construction site has good bearing capacity, the foundation deformation can be controlled within an acceptable range, and the uplift force on the foundation can be jointly borne by the foundation and its overburden, a shallow foundation form can be adopted. Typically, a spatial truss tower is equipped with a foundation under each tower column, and these independent foundations are connected by tie beams to collectively bear the self-weight, bending moments, and horizontal shear forces transmitted from the tower.
